Jane is the unassuming little black tri sister to Cartman. She looks like a black tri version of her mother, Pony. Jane started her trialing career in the ranch dog-sheep class. She earned a qualifying score the first time out! She is an excellent sheep dog. She instinctively knows which animal is the leader and keeps a close eye on him. She has a very wide circle (like most of the Roper kids.) However, she isn't as 'loose eyed' as her father. She comes to balance nicely and stops on her own. She is a very honest dog and does not split her stock, even if you are out of position. She is a pleasure to work and makes me look like a good handler!
Jane's hips were rated Good by OFA (AS-21593G24F-PI) and her eyes were CERF clear in January of 2007. She stands about 17" tall and weighs about 35 pounds.
Jane has a very sweet people oriented temperament. She loves to cuddle on the couch when not working. She can be reserved with dogs she doesn't know. Jane is like her littermates. They are all high drive and easy to motivate. Several of her littermates (Rowdy, Scout and Ryder) are excelling at agility. And her brother Cartman is almost finished with his WTCH.
