Hank is a black-bi Australian Shepherd. His sire is WTCH The Bull of Twin Oaks. Bull is one of only three dogs to earn the Supreme Stockdog Championship title. He did this by winning all three classes of stock (cattle, sheep and ducks) at the nationals competition. Hank's dam is WTCH Windsong's Rip Rap. She is a very successful producer of working trial champions. A large majority of her offspring have earned their WTCHs. Click here for Hank's pedigree.
Hank's hips were rated as good by OFA (AS-14233G34M) and his eyes are CERF'd yearly (AS-5350/2001--46).
Hank has had several years of excellent ASCA Nationals results. In September of 2003, he competed at the ASCA Nationals in West Bend, WI. He was the first Aussie to qualify for both the ASCA Stock finals (they only invite the top 20 dogs in the country) and also the ASCA Agility Finals. He was the #1 ranked qualifier!
Hank was 9th on Cattle and 11th on Sheep and Ducks at the finals. In addition, he earned a 121 on ducks in the Nationals trial. Plus he earned a qualifying score in regular agility and a good conformation score. He was 3rd place Most Versatile out of 74 dogs! In addition to all that, he also finished his Agility Trial Champion title with a qualifying score in Elite Jumpers! Hank is the fourth dog in ASCA history to earn both the WTCh and the ATCh titles!
Hank competed at the 2002 ASCA nationals in Bakersfield, CA in November of 2002. He earned a qualifying score in Elite Regular agility, a 110 in advanced sheep, a 110 (4th place) in advanced cattle and a 116 (3rd place) in advanced ducks. Overall, he was 4th place Most Versatile Aussie! In the 2002 ASCA Nationals Stock Trial, Hank was 2nd place High Combined. He was only 4 points behind the High Combined Winner!
Hank's stock career includes a HIT in ducks from the Open division with a score of 117. He won HIT Sheep with a 114 in September of 2002, HIT with a 124 in Cattle in December of 2002 and a HIT Ducks in October of 2001. Hank rates his stock very well and has excellent cover. He is very detail oriented and is a very stylish worker.
Hank finished his WTCH on October 13th, 2001. That weekend every score he earned was over 100. He won advanced ducks as well. He also earned three qualifying scores in Elite Regular agility. Hank loves to work!
Hank has been quite successful in agility. He finished his Elite Gamblers title in NADAC a year after beginning competition. He finished it at the same show he debuted in the previous year. Hank earned his Superior Performance title in Elite Gamblers and Elite Regular in 2003. (Hank has 26+ Elite Gamblers legs and 40+ Elite Regular legs.)
He started competing in AKC trials in the beginning of September 2000. He earned his first leg in Excellent A Standard October 20th, 2000 and then completed both Excellent titles March 3rd & 4th, 2001. Hank loves agility and has the same attention to detail. In his entire agility career, he has only missed two contacts in competition. He is also fast. He rarely has time faults and finishes well under time. When he does have time faults, it is usually due to handler error causing an off course.
Hank is very biddable and is easy to train. He tries very hard to be right. He never argues on course and is very business like when he works. He is a happy go lucky dog, but once he is placed on the start line, he is very serious. He is a pleasure to train and compete.
