He's large and he's in charge! Well, as far as he is concerned. Cartman was born November 28th, 2003. He was the first puppy born from the Pony x Roper litter. We were not planning on keeping a black tri male, that is, until he grew on us. Cartman has turned into a younger version of his father Roper and is now the main chore dog on the farm..
Like the other puppies in his litter, Cartman loves to work. He has very nice natural talent on stock.
He is naturally round and covers heads evenly. He is mostly a quiet and serious worker. Click here for a video of Cartman working sheep when he was two. Click here for a video of Cartman working ducks, shortly after his third birthday. He works wide on cattle when needed, but can come in for a bite to push the cows around. On Saturday, he was High Score Cattle from the open division. Then his finished his Advanced Cattle title on Sunday with back to back qualifiers and was High Scoring Aussie on Sheep. Cartman only needs one Advanced Sheep qualifier to finish his WTCH.
Cartman earned his Companion Dog Obedience title (CD) in the spring of 2006. He earned two qualifiers his first weekend out. He finished his title at the next show.
Cartman also started his agility career. At his first trial, he earned a novice jumpers and two novice regular qualifiers! At his second trial he finished up his Novice Regular title. He is now in Open Regular and Jumpers.
In the fall of 2006, Cartman made his debut in the Most Versatile Aussie competition at the ASCA Nationals in West Bend, Wisconsin. Cartman earned a qualifying score in Sheep, Ducks, Novice Obedience and Novice Agility. He placed 28th out of over 70 dogs. At less than three years old, we were thrilled with his performance.
